MPI AnchorData Module: Simple Anchordata

This movie shows the setting basic anchorData with the MPI anchorData Module. We start with a window with 4 graphics.

Graphic 1

  1. Resizeing the window does not affect the graphics, they do not resize.
  2. If we turn autoResize of the background on it makes no difference until we add anchordata.
  3. Switch to the pointer tool (control-tab with MPI)
  4. Select the top graphic.
  5. Use the top popUp on the anchorData module to set the anchorData for the top edge to top. NB. the other values are filled in automatically. As we want this graphic to stick to the left edge we only have to set the bottom anchor to bottom.

Graphic 2, we want this one to stick to the top resizing horozontally, leaving space on the left for the green graphic. Again we only need t oset the top anchor to to and then we set the right anchor to right.
2 choices from a popup.

Graphic 3, we want his one to resize with the window, this time we need to make 3 choices.

Graphic 4 is just as simple.

We have set the anchorData of 4 objects and turned on the autoResize in less than one minute.
This is the simplest possible case, MPI's anchorData module does a lot more:
