MPI Main Palette: Edit Menu
Click on a menu to go to the help page for that menu.
MPI's main palette Edit menu contains exactly what you would expect from an edit menu.
As we expect from MPI it is contextual, the menus disable when appropriate, eg Paste text will be disabled when a field is not open. Paste also changes to Paste Text, Paste Objects or Paste Card as the clipboard changes.
New in MPI with the SuperCard 4.5 betas is a Undo menu for text, again this enables and disables itself as necessary.
Cut, Copy, new and Delete card work as expected as do New Background and Delete Background.
The most interesting Item is the New Window item and its sub-items. These give you a choice of windows to create, MPI ships with some as standard, but you can add others and edit the templates. On the PI card for window information there is a Register as Template button, which will open the Window Template window with the information from the current window already in place.
You can create window templates from scratch, edit and delete existing ones from the MPI preference window (which is opened from the File Menu). One template can be choosen as the default one for new projects. More information on Window Templates
The Show Invisibles Item toggles the showinvisibles window property and indicates its setting
