I've updated Scriptlib on the server side to replace non-break-space chars (often copied from mail) to spaces and to allow the website to show ≠ characters properly. These showed up in Stéphane's multisort function. If you are using the ScriptLib SuperCard project there is no need to update that.
+ 5 - 6 | § ¶Simple_guides.sc45
The projects are an assortment of simple examples and SuperCard guides.
Simple_Guides.proj hopes to fulfill two functions.
- As a simple example of a way SuperCard can download and open projects from the internet.
- To provide simple guides to some aspects of SuperCard.

Download Simple_Guides_03.sc45.zip version 0.3 Updated for Intel and to the SuperCard 4.5 file format.
+ 4 - 9 | § ¶Image File Import Palette
This wee project will display thumbnails of a folder of images, optionally show you some information about them and allow you to drag the fullsized image onto your SuperCard windows to create pictureData graphics.

The project uses Terry Heaford's contactSheet external to display the images and his ExifRead external to show information, when there is no Exif data in the image it uses the commandline utility sips to get some information.

+ 8 - 6 | § ¶Rommy Robot 3.0 Beta 7
I've not really had a lot of time to work on Rommy over the last year as my educational computing has gone in another direction. This Beta will not time out, is universal and is no longer shareware, rommy is now free (donations accepted), no registration required.
Rommy Robot is a child friendly screen programmable robot.Rommy Robot is useful for teaching Shape, Position and Movement in primary mathematics and is a way of introducing young children to control technology.
+ 2 - 13 | § ¶SuperCard 4.6.2 Released
Solutions Etcetera today announced that SuperCard 4.6.2, a maintenance update to its Universal Binary version of SuperCard is now shipping. The update is available, free of charge, to all registered SuperCard 4.6 users via download from the SuperCard website (http://www.supercard.us/).New in 4.6.2
+ 8 - 10 | § ¶MPI 2.7 Out
ModuloPI 2.9 is available at this address :ModuloPI
Stéphane has added a lot of new features. Undo of objects deletion, font, size etc settable from contextual menu, A "bigger" and "smaller" feature has been added to increase or reduce the font size. and a lot of other great idea.
If you use SuperCard and have not tried MPI I would get it now, the price is right and the feature list unbeaten.
Here is the announcement on the SuperCard mail list in my RSS reader Vienna I made a request that the list would be made available as RSS and it happened straight away.

+ 5 - 12 | § ¶More new Universal Externals
Alec Hole has added Repeating Date:to Externals.net.This finds a repeating date. You give it an event start date, and how often the event repeats, e.g. once weekly or every eight days, and a test date. It can then find the nearest repeat to the test date, either before or after the test date.
and Terry Heaford has put two useful image externals onto the SuperCard Yahoo Files area:
Images can manipulate the source image contained in a SuperCard variable, crop, pad, scale rotation etc.
and
mergeImages (beta) which implements the composite operations contained within Cocoa by merging two images.
+ 5 - 13 | § ¶New Externals on Externals.net
Tomas Franzén has released a couple of 4.6 universal externals SimpleTimer and ConvertEncoding.I think these are the first 3rd party externals in the New SuperCard 4.6 format and run on Intel hardware (I wish I could test that).
+ 12 - 5 | § ¶SuperCard 4.6

SuperCard 4.6 was released.
Main new feature is Universal Binary Architecture:
SuperCard and SuperCard authored applications now run natively with enhanced performance on both Intel and PowerPC based Macintoshes. which will be handy sometime in my future.
SuperCard externals can now be built with xcode.

And several new features including:
- Metal Window support (see the image above)
- Functions to convert HFS and POSIX file paths which will save a trip to appleScript
- Application function which returns the file path to the currently running copy of SuperCard or SuperCard Player.
- repeat for each
- volumeMount and volumeUnMount messages letting SC know when a volume is mounted or put away( pass the name of the volume)
+ 7 - 7 | § ¶Pivot 1.30
I've just updated pivot to version 1.30, it looks good at the moment, although I'll need to swap to firefox to see the new wysiwyg editor. The most interesting thing looks like the improved spam tools:
Everything else seems to be working ok, I'll wait a few days them upgrade my other blog
+ 10 - 5 | § ¶repository of experimental projects
DSC posted this to the SC list:repository of experimental projects.
Some may require readily available externals be installed and/or bundle externals in the
same folder as the project (WebKit bundle for instance).
Some are outdated, incomplete, or incomprehensible.
In short, the good, the bad, and the ugly
Html built & served by a SC standalone cgi app too.
looks like quite a collection over 60 projects!
