I have not really used X11 , 'the common windowing environment for UNIX systems.' much. I installed it and Fink and Finkcommander but it seemd a bit to geeky for me. Thanks to everyone who voted, I am quite suprised at the results. I thought the rte would be in the lead. My own preference is ModuloPi I'd recoment that any RTE users give it a try.
I'll have a check box poll later on for the folk who use more than one editor.
